MODOT Seeks Input On U.S. 60, Route 413 Safety And Planning Study

The Missouri Department of Transportation is conducting a Safety and Planning Study along the U.S. Route 60/Missouri Route 413 corridor between Route 360 west of Springfield and Main St. in Republic.

A meeting Monday, January 13, will let residents, business owners and others learn more about it.

According to a news release from MODOT, the study is being conducted to look at future growth along the corridor and plan for improvements that will “maintain the safety and traffic flow of the roadway.”

The meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6 today at the Republic Community Center, 711 E. Miller Road.  MODOT engineers, city of Republic officials and Ozarks Transportation Organization staff will give a short presentation and then will be available to answer questions and take suggestions.

If you can’t attend the meeting, you can get information and provide input at modot.org/southwest.

According to MODOT, public input will help them develop a comprehensive plan “to maintain the safety and traffic flow along the highway corridor as the area continues to grow.”
