Red Cross Offers Help For Veterans And Caregivers

As the country celebrates Veterans Day today, the American Red Cross is reminding those who have served that there are services it provides for them through the Hero Care Network.

According to the Red Cross officials, the organization responds to emergency needs for food, clothing and shelter and offers referrals to counseling services and information on veterans’ cemeteries and burial benefits.

Military members, veterans and their families can access the services by downloading the free Red Cross Hero Care App on any Apple or Android device.

Red Cross chapters maintain relationships with key partners in their region and can connect veterans and their families with them to get the help they need, according to the organization.

The Red Cross also offers help to caregivers of veterans who are wounded, ill or injured through the Military Veteran Caregiver Network.
