No Drivers' Tests Will Be Administered In Springfield Friday

If you were hoping to take the driver’s test to get your license in Springfield Friday, August 9, you’re out of luck.

The Springfield Driver Examination Station on Park Central Square will only be providing written tests that day.  That’s because streets will be closing to accommodate the Route 66 Festival in downtown Springfield.

Other driver exam stations that will be open that day include in Nixa at Nixa City Hall, 715 W. Mt. Vernon and in Republic at the Parks and Recreation Building, 711 Miller Road.  Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with motorcycle skills tests given at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Michele Skalicky has worked at KSMU since the station occupied the old white house at National and Grand. She enjoys working on both the announcing side and in news and has been the recipient of statewide and national awards for news reporting. She likes to tell stories that make a difference. Michele enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and leisurely kayaking.
