Voters in the Walnut Grove school district will head to the polls Tuesday, August 6, to decide on a tax increase for schools.

The district is asking for an increase in the operating tax levy of $1.07 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation through 2039 to fund school improvements.  Those include safety and security measures, new elementary classrooms and administrative offices and a new drop-off/pick-up lane among other things.

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller is reminding voters of some polling place changes.  Those include voters who normally vote at Eurdora Baptist Church in Eurora, at the Everton Community Center in Everton and at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Willard. Those voters will instead go to the Walnut Grove School, 211 E. College in Walnut Grove, to cast ballots.
