City of Battlefield Conducts Survey
An area community is conducting a survey as part of the development of a comprehensive plan for the city. Michele Skalicky has more.
City of Battlefield officials want to know what city residents think about things like why they chose to live there, if they'd be willing to pay more for certain services and housing availability.
They're conducting on online survey as part of the development of a new comprehensive plan for the city.
Mayor Judy Stainback says they want to find out in which direction Battlefield residents think their city should go
Stainback says, after the survey's completed, they hope to hold follow-up meetings to discuss the results and lay out priorities
Stainback says they're working with community development specialist with University of MO Extension to create the new comprehensive plan.
Battlefield's population in 2000 was 2,385, but Stainback says they believe the population now is close to 5000.
She encourages all Battlefield residents to participate in the survey
Battlefield residents have until the end of July to take part in the survey at battlefieldmo.org.
Judy Stainback says survey results will be presented in a public meeting sometime in the near future.
