Input Needed In SPS Diversity And Inclusion Conversation

The Springfield Public School District wants your input about the work its doing towards diversity and inclusion.  According to district officials, they’ve launched an online conversation that not only will allow participants to share their thoughts but also to rate those shared by others. 

SPS spokesman, Stephen Hall, says the feedback will help them better understand how they can make the schools “more welcoming to students and staff of all diverse backgrounds and identities.”

The district earlier this year formed the Equity and Diversity Advisory Council, which is expected to make recommendations in the next few months.  Public input will factor into those recommendations.
