Ozark School District Announces New Superintendent

The Ozark School District has hired from within for its next leader.  The Ozark Board of Education Tuesday named Chris Bauman, superintendent of the Ozark District starting July 1, 2018.

Bauman, who is currently the executive director of operations, will replace Kevin Patterson who will retire at the end of the 2017-2018 school year.

Bauman has been in education for 20 years and has been in his current position since 2013.

School board president, Patty Quessenberry, said the board chose Bauman out of 25 applicants because he had a well thought out plan and a vision to lead Ozark into the future.  She said he is student-focused and "will keep the culture of Ozark."
