Drury University is celebrating Earth Day a little early this year. KSMU’s Adam Hammons has more on what Drury will be doing one day before Earth Day.
On the Drury campus, there will be a number of festivities in celebration of Earth Day. However one of the main attractions, especially for students, is preferred parking for any energy efficient car. This includes hybrids, electric vehicles, and other vehicles that are designed as high efficiency vehicles. Drivers of these cars will be able to park along Drury Lane south of the Weiser Lot entrance. On normal days, these spots are only available for 30 minutes. Also on campus between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, there will be a variety of activities to celebrate Earth Day. Some of these include demonstrations and giveaways from local businesses, craft tables, and a lunch that features vegetarian options and locally raised meats. The school is recognizing the holiday one day early because students do not have class on the 22nd, which is also Good Friday. For KSMU News, I’m Adam Hammons.
