A water enforcement saturation on the Niangua River in Dallas County resulted in the arrests of three people on misdemeanor drug charges.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted the saturation last Saturday on a stretch of river that has a high number of drinking and impairment-related boating crashes as well as reported incidents of illegal drug usage and underage alcohol consumption.

The Patrol made contact with 230 people.  Troopers issued 15 boating citations.  There were two personal flotation device violations, seven littering or unsecure trash violations, two minors in possession violations and one possession of a glass container violation along with the three drug arrests.  The patrol issued 46 warnings.
