Recent MO State Highway Patrol Operations Result in Arrests

A recent sobriety checkpoint and DWI Enforcement Saturation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop D Saturday resulted in several arrests.

Troopers working the sobriety checkpoint in Webster County stopped 533 vehicles.  Here's the list of enforcement contacts made during that operation:

DWI Arrests:  5

Seat Belt Violations:  2

Driver's License Violations:  7

Uninsured Motorists Violations:  6

Non-Moving Violations:  6

Misdemeanor Drug Arrests:  5

Felony Drug Arrests:  2

Felony Traffic Arrests:  3

Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests:  10

Felony Warrant Arrests:  2

Recovered Stolen Vehicles:  1

Fifty vehicles were stopped in Newton County during the DWI Saturation.  Here's the list of enforcement contacts made during that operation:

Speed Violations:  7

Seat Belt Citations:  15

Child Restraint Offense:  1

Following Too Close Violation:  1

Lane Violation:  1

Driver License Violations:  2

Uninsured Motorist Violations:  2

Hazardous Moving Citations:  3

Non-Moving Traffic Offenses:  2

Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests:  5

Misdemeanor Drug Arrests:  2

Felony Drug Arrests:  4

Officers also issued 70 warnings for various other traffic violations during the operation.

MSHP Troop D commanding officer, Captain Juan Villanueva, says the objective of DWI enforcement projects is to deter drinking and driving and to make citizens aware that drinking and driving won’t be tolerated.
