National Avenue Christian Church will host the Trading Treasures Yard Sale June 5-7 with typical yard sale items, plus vintage and collectable items in the Treasure Trove Room.
Proceeds will benefit the 16+ community groups and school that use the National Avenue Christian Church building during the week by covering a portion of building utility cost.

If the temperature is below 32 degrees or if it is snowing, Walk With A Doc will be at The Meyer Center – 3545 S. National Ave., Springfield. Otherwise, rain or shine, we will be at the Springfield Community Gardens on the patio at 9 AM!

The Pickwick Street Fair will be held June 7 between Cherry and Monroe in the Rountree Neighborhood with local artists, craftsmen, musicians and more.
The event will benefit the Rountree PTA and the Rountree Corner.

Live From Downtown is a weekly summer concert series on Park Central Square that showcases local musicians and bands from all genres. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

George Washington Carver National Monument will host a Flag Day program June 8 at the visitor center with a presentation on the evolution and history of the flags used during the years of the American Revolution, leading up to the flag that Betsy Ross created.
Presenter Kavan Stull of the SGT Ariel Nims Chapter-Songs of the American Revolution will also discuss Revolutionary war uniforms, tricorn hats, lottery issue coats, waist costs, pants, socks, and style of shoe in connection to the song "Yankee Doodle."
