Powwow with the American Indian Center of Springfield
All ages are invited to attend Powwow with the American Indian Center of Springfield at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, in the Library Station Frisco Room, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.
Celebrate Native American culture by learning about the powwow. The American Indian Center of Springfield will present traditional dances that may be found at powwows, and teach how Native American children participate in their heritage. Kids will have the chance to learn some dance steps from Powwow Princess Nizhoni Falcon while honoring the strong traditions of Native People.
