The Christian County Museum will host a presentation by author Randy Greer about his research on Buff Lamb for his new book, Buff Lamb: Lion of the Ozarks.

Many stories surround the controversial Sheriff Louard “Buff” Lamb of Christian County, Missouri. From his early beginnings traveling the Midwest as a rodeo performer and daredevil, to his career as a Missouri lawman, Buff’s reputation for never backing down made him a household name for more than 70 years.

Accused of murder, thievery, brutality and womanizing, the lawman continued to cast a tall shadow over Ozark and the surrounding communities. Despite the clouds of controversy that hung over Buff, he continually earned the respect of his deputies. and lawmen from across the state.
