The 2nd Annual Queen City Beard and Moustache Competition takes place tomorrow night (6/3) in downtown Springfield. One of the judges is Devin Cara (CAIR-uh), himself a competitor in other beard and moustache competitions in the U.S. and around the world. KSMU’s Michele Skalicky reports…

Devin Cara first got started competing in 2007 when he learned about beard and moustache competitions and felt his facial hair was impressive enough to have a shot at winning. Soon after, he became a member of Beard Team USA…Devin1Cara says he’s been growing fancy facial hair for as long as he’s been able to, so competing was a natural fit for him…Devin2His curly reddish brown beard and moustache resulted in a 3rd place finish at Nationals in Bend, Oregon and a 3rd place finish in the Garabaldi category at the World Championships in Trondheim, Norway.Cara will be a judge at the 2nd annual Queen City Beard and Moustache Competition tomorrow night (6/3) at Patton Alley Pub. Doors open at 8.
