Wilson's Creek National Battlefield is hosting Arts in the Park tomorrow evening. The entertainment will be a singing duo, Jim and Suzanne. KSMU's Jana Greer tells us what makes these performers so unique.
Jim and Suzanne have been on the road as full time musicians for over 14 years. They travel so much that they call their RV home. The couple performs at many types of community events such as festivals, schools and camps. They have performed in over 30 states, Canada and in two weeks they will be performing in the Netherlands. But it is the music they perform that makes them so unique.
The duo started out performing music from the 1920's and 1930's but then became interested in music from the mid 1800's.
Jim says he likes the music because it still relates to everyone.
Jim and Suzanne work from 600 songs and are always researching new ones.
Jims says that all the songs are his favorite.
Jim says the duo loves what they do and is excited to come to Wilson's Creek this weekend.
Jim and Suzanne will be performing at Wilson's Creek National Battlefield tomorrow night at 7:00, in front of the visitors' center. The performance is free and open to the public.
