Pryor's speech "The Price of Citizenship" focused on the public's responsibility to reduce economic inequality.
He says immigration, the rising cost of prescription drugs, health care and high gas prices are topics splitting America today. David Pryor says income differences in the country have caused the creation of two Americas he calls the "haves" and "have nots."
Pryor says engaged citizenship in public affairs means taking an active part in the government system.
David Pryor says when members of the public are accountable to each other changes can be made.
