Through a partnership linking the Springfield Central Labor Council, United Way of the Ozarks and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 250 students at Bowerman Elementary got new donated footwear on Friday.

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks said there's a need for A negative and O negative, in particular right now, but all types are needed.

The warning comes as people are donating toward relief efforts amid the Israel-Hamas war and the Afghanistan earthquakes.
