A Missouri State University athlete has been chosen as one of two recipients of the Missouri Valley Conference’s Dr. Charlotte West Scholar-Athlete Award.
Volleyball player, Emily Butters, is MSU’s fifth winner since the award began in 2000. The recent MSU graduate became the fifth player in MSU history last year to earn multiple all-region honors.
She graduated in May with a 3.93 cumulative grade point average while majoring in exercise and movement science with an emphasis in pre-professional physical therapy.
Butters will be the MVC nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year.
