Two area school districts will be able to make improvements to school buildings after Tuesday's election.
Voters approved a bond issue for Springfield Public Schools. 65% of voters said yes to the measure. The bond issue will provide funds to air condition school buildings and to make other improvements to schools. Republic Schools will now be able to finish construction of a new high school and make improvements to other school facilities after Tuesday’s election. 74% of voters in that district approved a bond issue for schools.Voter turnout in Tuesday’s election was 18%.
