COVID-19 Hospitalizations, Cases Continue Increasing In Greene County

As of Monday morning, there were 179 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Springfield, and 60 were in critical care, according to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department's dashboard.  The seven-day average of daily cases had risen to 110.43.  The vaccination rate is slowly increasing.  As of Monday, 38.55 percent of Greene County residents 12 and older were fully vaccinated.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ dashboard, Greene County had seen a 17.1 percent increase in COVID-19 cases in the past week compared to the week before.

COVID-19 vaccine clinics are being held: 

  • Tuesday, June 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Republic Branch Library. 
  • Wednesday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s Westside Clinic, 660 S. Scenic; and from 3 to 5 p.m. at Fire Station #5, 2750 W. Kearney.  
  • Thursday, July 1, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Willard Branch Library; from 11 to 1 at South Street Christian Church, 500 South Ave. in Springfield; and from 1 to 3 at the Ash Grove Branch Library.
