MSU Celebrates LGTBQ+ History Month

This month, Missouri State University is celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month.  But, because of the pandemic, many events will be on Zoom.

Events include:

  • October 2:  “A Common Thread:  A Discussion about the Interconnectedness of the Global LGBTQIA+ Community” will be held on Zoom at 5 p.m.
  • October 6:  A talk by Skylar Jay from Queer Eye at 7 p.m. at the Plaster Student Union
  • October 13:  “Pride, Praise and Protest:  A Liberate Workshop Experience” at Plaster Student Union
  • October 14:  Safe Zone Training at 1 p.m. on Zoom
  • October 21:  A presentation by a Springfield Police LGBTQ liaison officer at 2 p.m. on Zoom
  • October 23:  A drag show:  “Kings and Queens of the North Mall” at 5 p.m. on the North Mall
  • October 29:  A presentation by trans and LGBTQ+ activist, CeCe McDonald at 6 p.m. on Zoom
