The National Weather Service has confirmed tornado touchdowns in southwest Missouri early Monday.

An EF-1 twister touched down at 1:03 a.m. in Highlandville and tracked northeast to just north of Sparta, breaking and uprooting trees.

An EF-1 tornado developed south of Rogersville at 1:18 a.m. and tracked to the northeast to east southeast of Rogersville.  Numerous trees were uprooted or broken, and numerous outbuildings were damaged or destroyed.

An EF-0 tornado began west of Highway ZZ in Greene County just before 1 a.m. and tracked to the east.  Trees were snapped, metal power lines were knocked over, and a home was damaged.

Strong winds, up to 70 mph, caused damage in other parts of Southwest Missouri.

The National Weather Service says the majority of the damage occurred along and south of the I-44 corridor.
