MO Highway Patrol Releases Fourth Of July Holiday Stats
Twelve people died on Missouri roads, and three people drowned in the state’s waterways over the long Fourth of July holiday from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
One roadway fatality occurred in Springfield.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said troopers made 160 DWI arrests and 110 drug arrests over this year’s holiday period.
Last year’s counting period was only 30 hours, and, during that time, four people died in vehicle crashes on the state’s roads.
