Highway 65 Project in Springfield Complete

If you’re still avoiding Highway 65 and I-44 due to closures, you no longer have to.  All southbound lanes of 65 and the onramp to southbound 65 from I-44 are now open.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the $4.3 million project is finished.  It included replacing the southbound Route 65 bridge over I-44, rebuilding ramps, replacing pavement, upgrading a guardrail and rebuilding shoulders on southbound Highway 65.

The prime contractor for the project was Millstone Weber, Inc. of St. Charles, MO.

The completion date was originally set for November, but the contractor was able to finish ahead of schedule.
