Fall Book Sale Raises Funds for Library Programs, Improvements

Friends of the Library

Total sales for the Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale last week were $143,264.64.  The Friends Night Preview Sale made a near-record $28,263.50.  The money will be used to help pay for library programs, concerts, equipment purchases and building improvements in the Springfield-Greene County Library District.

Around 450 volunteers worked to make the sale happen.

The public can donate books and audiovisual items for future Friends of the Library sales at any library branch.

The Spring Book Sale is April 25-29, 2018.
