How Constituents Can Contact Senator Blunt, Congressman Long

Missourians have a new senator, and Ozarks residents living in the 7th Congressional District also have a new congressman. KSMU’s Jennifer Moore has details on how constituents can contact their lawmakers if they need to.

Americans have always been able to communicate with the people they elect to office. Many people contact their lawmakers to voice their concerns about policy, or to get help with a specific problem. In Congress, lawmakers even help arrange visits to Washington, D.C. and write nominations to military academies.

Ozarks residents have some new contact information for their elected Washington officials.

First, incoming Republican Senator Roy Blunt’s new office number is (202) 224-5721.

For those sending a letter, Blunt’s current address is:

Senator Roy BluntB40C Dirksen Senate Office Building Washington DC, 20510

Blunt’s staff members say that address is only a temporary office where the Senator will be working for a couple of months.

And incoming Republican Congressman Billy Long, of Missouri’s 7th district, can be reached at area code (202) 225-6536. You can send a letter to:

Congressman Billy Long

1541 Longworth House Office Building

Washington DC, 20515

Long's Springfield office is located at:

3232 E. Ridgeview St.

Springfield, MO 65804

The Springfield phone number is (417) 889-1800 and the fax number is (417) 889-4915.

And Long's new Joplin office address is:

2727 E. 32nd St., Suite 2

Joplin, MO 64804

Blunt will have the same office contact information in Springfield as he did when he was in the US House of Representatives. His office is located at 2740 E Sunshine St #B, Springfield MO, 65804. The phone number there is (417) 889-1800.

For the more web-inclined, there’s the online contact portal through the websites www.Senate.gov and www.House.gov. There you can look up your lawmakers by name and submit a comment or question.

For KSMU News, I’m Jennifer Moore.
