Springfield Public School Teachers are expressing their opinions about collective bargaining today in the form of a vote. KSMU's Chasity Mayes has more.

This report was produced November 10, 2009.

Springfield Public School teachers are voting today on whether they feel the issue of collective bargaining is what’s best for the future of the educational community.

The vote will determine the way that teachers, counselors and librarians would like to be represented within the school system. Voters will be given several different options including multiple representation or to not be represented at all.

Polling was held at each of the five public high schools in Springfield and the results should be available around 9:00 this evening.

The polls close at 8:30 tonight.

For KSMU News, I'm Chasity Mayes.
