With this year’s agreements, students can now earn a Bachelor's degree at MSU by taking only online classes. Students with Associate's degrees in Applied Sciences from OTC can transfer their credits to Missouri State and get a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology Management. Students can also receive a Bachelor of Science in Criminology with an Associate degree in Art. Dr. Gary Rader, Director of Missouri State Online, says that providing online classes enable students with busy lives outside the classroom to receive a four year college degree.
“These degrees delivered online are equal quality in terms of the learning environment and learning outcomes as would be the outcome if they took face to face or a combination of face to face, blended or online. It is all the same. A Class is a class is a class is a class,” said Rader.
These new articulation agreements are part of an ongoing effort that started with another articulation agreement, coordinated between the nursing programs at MSU and OTC last year. Along with the online classes, transfer students from OTC will have access to financial aid, scholarships and student services on the same basis as the four year MSU students.
