Wizard of Oz – AUDITIONS

Auditions for the opening Landers Mainstage production of the community theatre’s 2024-2025 90th Emerald Anniversary Season will be held July 7-10 at the Judy.

Audition to be a part of an exciting, heartwarming adventure that, under the direction of Beth Domann, with choreography by Josh Inmon and music direction by Clayton Avery, promises plenty of brains, heart, and nerve.

Auditions for Springfield Little Theatre’s mainstage production of THE WIZARD OF OZ will be held July 7-10 at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre (The Judy), 237 South Florence Avenue, Springfield, MO.

Sunday, July 7, 4:00 pm--Auditions for children ages 8-13. Children ages 8-13 will be asked to sing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead and will be taught a movement combination. Arrive by 3:30 pm to complete paperwork. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday, July 7, 7:00 p.m.--Dorothy Auditions. Any teen or adult who would like to be considered for the role of Dorothy is asked to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Arrive by 6:30 pm to complete paperwork. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday, July 7, 8:30 p.m.--Auditions for adult non-singing character roles including Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, Professor Marvel/The Wizard, and Miss Gulch/The Wicked Witch of the West. Arrive by 8:00 pm to complete paperwork and look over sides for cold readings. Character actors will be asked to read from the script.

Monday, July 8, 7:00 pm and Tuesday, July 9, 7:00 pm--Auditions for ages14-adult ensemble and principal roles. Choose either night to attend. Prepare a vocal selection less than one-minute in length and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Arrive by 6:30 pm to complete paperwork and be prepared to learn a short movement combination with the group right at 7:00 prior to the individual vocal auditions. Minors must be accompanied by an adult

Callbacks will be held Wednesday, July 10 beginning at 6:00 pm.
