The 2025 annual meeting of the Missouri Archaeological Society (MAS) will be March 14–16 at the Oasis Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield, Missouri. The meeting is open to MAS members and the interested public.
The three-day meeting will provide an opportunity for avocational and professional archaeologists to interact and exchange information with the public. The meeting is an important part of promoting the investigation, preservation, and interpretation of prehistoric and historic remains in Missouri. Established in 1935, the MAS is a nonprofit organization of people who are interested in the prehistory and history of Missouri.
A welcome reception and meet-and-greet with food and beverages will be held on Friday evening.
Saturday’s events will feature artifact and other exhibits, posters, presentations on archaeological topics, an artifact identification session, a silent auction, publication sales, and an evening banquet featuring Koch Lecturer Dr. David Benn who will present Geoglyph Cosmograms in Native American Mythology of the Northern Plains.
Sunday will feature a field trip to the History Museum on the Square.
The registration fee is $25, which includes admission to all meeting events, with the exception of the cost of food at the banquet and the field trip. Students may register for $15. Dr. Benn’s lecture after the banquet is free and open to the public.
