Adults are invited to attend A History of the Springfield Art Museum at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, at the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, 2214 Brentwood Blvd.

Sarah Buhr, curator at the Springfield Art Museum for 15 years, will share insights and fun facts about the museum’s 95-year history, beginning with its founding in 1928 to construction of a dedicated home in Phelps Grove Park in 1958. Highlights include major exhibitions, staff and directors, notable programs and the growth of the collection.
