Movie-enthusiasts are taking advantage of the movie series at Founders Park downtown on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer. KSMU’s Jennifer Davidson has details.
The eight-week movie series just kicked off; Friday nights’ movies are family-themed, and will be rated G and PG. Saturday night movies are rated PG-13 for a more mature audience. Movies begin at dusk.
The Springfield-Greene County Park Board puts on the series. Audience members usually bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Admission to Movies at Founders Park is free, as long as you pick up the family 4-pack tickets in advance. If you pay at the gate, admission is $5.
