KSMU's Jennifer Davidson is on a unique trip right now. Michele Skalicky caught up with her as she took a break from her travels.
Click play above to hear our conversation with Jennifer, who is in Germany with the relatives of a fallen soldier from WWII. It is the first time the family is visiting the crash site of John E. Hogan since his plane went down decades ago.
The remains of Hogan were found nearly 70 years after his B-17 Bomber fell out of formation on a 1944 mission over Germany after coming under anti-aircraft fire. We brought you that story in 2012.
This week, Hogan's relatives are paying their respects and hoping for some closure in a case that had gone cold for decades.
