There's an old Kenyan proverb that says, "Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children." Over the last few years, the effort to sustain resources on the Earth has gained momentum, and those on the Missouri State University campus are proud to be a leader in the community on this issue. Ken McClure, vice president of administrative and information services; and Dr. Tammy Jahnke, dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, discuss sustainability efforts as well as the second annual conference and exhibition, "Leadership in a Sustainable Society." This event is free and will be held Oct. 27 at the Plaster Student Union. For more information, visit www.missouristate.edu/sustainability.
