Cleanup continues after heavy rains pounded the Ozarks Saturday. KSMU's Michele Skalicky has more.

Galena in Stone County was hit hard by floodwaters Saturday. Mobile homes were washed away and a full campground was swamped causing several campers to lose vehicles and trailers. Flooding was also a problem in nearby Taney County. The county's emergency manager Chris Berndt says areas that were damaged were primarily along Turkey Creek and Bull Creek.

Berndt says a bridge was washed away on Lakeshore Drive at Kanekuk Camps and a low water crossing was destroyed in Coon Creek. 17 other areas were damaged by floodwaters. He says 4 to 7 inches of rain fell Saturday in Taney County.

They're currently assessing damages and will wait to see if the county is declared a disaster and thus eligible for state and federal funds. They're also working to get roads repaired and reopened.

To report damages, call Taney County Emergency Management at 334-3440.

Several roads in Greene County remain impassable or damaged after heavy rain over the weekend. Sections of six roads remain closed including Farm Roads 36, 52, 68, 153 and 197. The southbound lane of Farm Road 189 near highway KK is closed. Farm Road 239 south of Highway E is open but is "very rough," according to county officials.
