  • Insect-O-Rama is tonight (8/16) from 6:30 to 9:30 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  View displays, see live insects, make crafts and play games.  For more information, 888-4237.
  • The Ozark Mountain Parrot Head Club will host its annual Phlock at the Rock concert and fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association, Southwest Missouri chapter, today and tomorrow (8/16-8/17) at Rock Lane Resort in Branson.  Live concerts will feature Cruize Control and Conch Republic, and there will be a silent auction, floatilla, scavenger hunt, raffle, crazy hat contest, photo booth, limbo contest, horse races and more.  Admission is $15 for one night and $20 for two.  Gates open at 6 each evening.  To learn more, 838-8220 or e-mail queenhenry32@yahoo.com.
