Ozarks Food Harvest Helping More People than Ever

Ozarks Food Harvest says it provided a record number of meals to those who are food insecure during the last fiscal year, which ended June 30.

The food bank provided 17.2 million meals for distribution by 270 hunger relief agencies throughout southwest Missouri.

The organization recently opened a 56,000-square-foot expansion, which it says will allow it to accept more food.  The goal is to provide 28 million meals.

Ozarks Food Harvest president and CEO, Bart Brown, says one in five children ane on in five adults in southwest Missouri are food insecure.
