Tap into Maple Syrup-Making at Montauk State Park

Montauk State Park is putting together a rare winter program teaching    Missourians and old tradition: how to make maple syrup.  

According to a press release from Montauk State Park, those who attend the program will learn how to identify and tap maple trees, collect the sap, and make pure maple syrup. 

It will be held at the Montauk Spring Parking lot from 9:00-11:00 AM Friday, February 15th.

Montauk State Park is located 22 miles southwest of Salem on Highway 119 in Dent County.
