Two people who were arrested for their involvement with catalytic converter thefts earlier this year have been convicted and sentenced, according to the Springfield Police Department.

Thirty-five-year-old Marcus Burk of Springfield pled guilty to felony stealing and was sentenced to five years with the Department of Corrections.

Thirty-year-old Matthew Griffin of Springfield pled guilty to bringing a controlled substance into the jail and received an eight-year sentence as part of a plea agreement.
