Fall Book Sale Breaks Record

The recent Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Library's Fall Book Sale broke a record in sales by nearly $7,000, and the sale was one day shorter.

According to the library, sales totaled just over $154,000 and beat the record set in the fall of 2015.

Money from the fall and spring book sales is used to fund children's programming, library concerts, author visits, exhibits and public receptions.  The Friends of the Library will also fund a 24/7 walk-up library kosk in west Springfield this winter.
