The Springfield Victory Mission is currently in the middle of their annual Food Basket drive. Victory Mission created the Food Basket Program to help needy families have a happy holiday season. Jim Harriger is the executive director for the Springfield Victory Mission and he explains what sorts of items are included in the food baskets.

Jim Harriger says he is touched by the generosity of people in Springfield.

The Springfield Victory Mission is taking sign up's for food baskets Friday, Monday, and Tuesday from 9 am to 3 pm at 1715 N Boonville. If you are a needy family and would like to sign up for a food basket you will need to bring a valid photo id, social security cards for each family member, and proof of income. The final day for signing up is Wednesday November 14th. For more information about the food basket program call 417-864-2225
