While Missouri State's new J-Q-H Arena is still just a roofless foundation, fans of Bear's Basketball are already excited to find their seats.

KSMU's Matt Petcoff reports on how many season tickets have already been sold for the 67 million dollar arena...

In just one month, more than 14-hundred season tickets requests have been made for Bears or Lady Bears' basketball games.

This is in addition to the 22 private suites that have already been licensed out, totaling 352 seats.

These requests come after more than 5-thousand season ticket brochures were mailed to both fans and businesses.

This reservation process will continue until April of 2008, before the arena opens that fall.

Brent Dunn is the Director of Athletics and Development at Missouri State.

He says school officials will meet with each and every season ticket holder in an order based on a point system.

The season ticket holders will then get to choose their seats themselves.

Dunn says the amount of requests they've received is more than what they expected this far in the process.

He says the goal is to sell about 5-thousand season tickets for both men's and women's games before the arena opens.
