City Utilities' fuel adjustment is causing an increase in electric prices. KSMU's Jana Greer reports.

City Utilities' customers will soon see a price increase in their electric bills. The Board of Public Utilities adopted an electric fuel adjustment on Thursday that will cause a change in electric prices over the next six months.

Ernest De Camp is the Communication Coordinator for City Utilities. He says the price is going up because of the continuing rise of the price of fuel.

The average residential customer will see a two dollar and forty cents a month increase. You will see the price increase on your April bill.
