FLORISSANT, Mo. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch) — About 200 protesters gathered in a St. Louis suburb in the wake of a video that appears to show a police SUV knocking a man to the ground before an officer jumps on top of the screaming man, hits him several times and handcuffs him.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the protesters blocked a road Sunday night in front of the heavily-barricaded Florissant police station. Officials say a Florissant police officer has been suspended and is under investigation by local and federal authorities after the video captured by a resident’s doorbell camera was released.

Police say the man was struck late Tuesday night in Dellwood.
