CBCO Issues Call for Blood Donors

Blood donations have been down in recent days due to winter weather and illness.  The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks says most blood types are in very short supply.  The CBCO urges donors to give to avoid a critical blood shortage.

CBCO spokesman Chris Pilgrim says they need an immediate response from healthy donors that are eligible to give.

The blood center is the only local provider of blood for patients at more than 40 hospitals in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas.

To find out how to give, go to cbco.org.
