The Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness, Springfield-Greene, Christian and Webster Counties’ Continuum of Care, has been awarded more than a million dollars.
According to the Community Partnership of the Ozarks, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development released the final award announcements for the Fiscal Year 2018 Continuum of Care grant funding opportunity. The alliance received $1,073,000.
Other local agencies who received grant funds are Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri, Great Circle, Harmony House, Housing Authority of Springfield, Missouri Department of Mental Health and The Kitchen, Inc. The City of Springfield was awarded a planning grant to help with the system-wide coordination of homeless and housing services.
Amanda Stadler, coordinator of the Continuum of Care at Community Partnership, says the money will help expand housing services for domestic violence victims and will help ensure a systemic and cohesive response to homelessness in southwest Missouri.
