Leslie Carrier talks with new Springfield Public Schools superintendent Dr. John Jungmann.

Dr. Jungmann wants to learn the public's opinions on which direction Springfield Public Schools should be going, so he's holding listening posts.  Two have already been held.  Others are planned for 9/17 at 3 pm at the Brentwood Library and 9/19 at 8:30 am at the Library Station.

In this Making Democracy Work segment, Dr. Jungmann discusses his views on the Common Core Standards, Springfield Public School students' performance on the MAP tests and the future of SPS.
