The Kimberling City Bridge over Table Rock Lake will receive some major work beginning next month. The public got the chance last night to see plans for the project and talk with officials from the Missouri Department of Transportation. MODOT will replace the bridge deck one half at a time, replace the bridge pins on the overhead truss structure and paint the bridge in some areas. Construction is scheduled from September 8th through May 2016. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $10 million.
There will be one-lane traffic on the bridge during construction. Temporary traffic signals will be set up at each end of the bridge. MODOT officials say the bridge will be closed up to 24 hours up to four times during the project.
