Everybody wants financial freedom and to live comfortably, but it’s a daunting task. Dr. James Philpot, associate professor of finance at Missouri State University, explains what he means by getting your finances in order.

As a certified financial planner, Philpot recommends individuals begin planning for retirement, long-term care and estate planning immediately – or rather, yesterday. As salary increases or as markets change, it’s good to reevaluate the plans.
