Anyone who still has a gift card from the now-closed Romano’s Macaroni Grill restaurants in Missouri can now receive a refund of any balance remaining.
The state’s attorney general, Chris Koster, said Wednesday his office has reached an agreement with the company to offer the refunds. He said about 500 Missouri consumers are still holding Macaroni Grill cards.
The attorney general’s office began looking into the matter at the end of 2014 when Macaroni Grill announced it was immediately closing all of its Missouri Locations, including a store in Springfield and consumers complained about having purchased gift cards for the restaurants.
Consumers who still have gift cards purchased for Macaroni Grill should contact the Attorney General’s Office and provide the number from the back of the cards.
Eligible cards include gift cards purchased at a Missouri location of Romano’s Macaroni Grill during the 2014 calendar year. Cards that are redeemable at several different restaurants are not eligible for this program but can still be redeemed at the other restaurants listed on the card or at Romano’s Macaroni Grill locations outside Missouri.
